Tulips

Exactly 12 years ago I got married.  Here in this building.  We had the most beautiful tulips in all of our wedding pictures.  This is my absolute favorite month at the temple!!!

White Christmas

Snow on Christmas Eve that actually stuck around.  It was a beautiful Christmas Day!!

Winter sunset

In all the places I have visited and all the picture perfect sunsets I have seen, I have NEVER seen more beautiful ones that the ones in my very own backyard.  Here is the first of many I hope to take.

A little bit of snow

I am loving driving my daughter to dance.  It gives me 2 hours completely alone to play with my camera.
Today I drove west until I found some inspiration.  I cannot help but snap shots of the mountains!
We finally got a little snow and they are just so pretty.

Composition

This is something I will have to consciously think about for awhile- composition.  Have part of the shot be "framed" with something (like the pine tree on the right).  Have the horizon either above or below the middle of the shot (mountains).  Pay attention to the rule of thirds (Dont put the main focus directly in the middle of the shot (temple).  I think I got lucky on this shot that it all ended up correctly.  I was paying attention to the pine tree and I didnt even think about the mountains and the temple.
